I do not know. The programming is so varied!
You know when you're playing a stressful videogame and you finally reach a save point. All of the sudden, all the loud distractions from the outside world are gone. There is peaceful music and you feel cozy and safe. This is what the Anticafé is to me. A safe haven in the middle of the busy downtown city life where you can stop for any amount of time to relax and recharge.
This place is great. There's a room on the second floor with comfy chairs where you have to take your shoes off to enter; it feels like you're at home.
Rate is paid by hours and food is self serve and unlimited. Staff there are always friendly and helped me made latte one time with the espresso machine in the kitchen. There is a large selection of tea, some variety of snacks usually cookies, biscuits, popcorns, candies and chips. There is a panini grill and I've used it to make grilled cheese. The cafe is very cozy. The decorations are unique and charming. At the front it's an open area and there are places to study and in the back there are rooms to give more privacy to individual large or small groups. Everyone is responsible for cleaning the dishes themsleves. The rate is reasonable, I was here for a meetup and stayed around 3 hours and paid around 11.
Like my second home, love this place. Here is simply perfect
Best place to work if you're poor or need a calm place with great view.
Great place to get work done.
A little pricey if you're just there casually, but a surprisingly charming meeting spot and a nicely vegan-friendly selection. Can't wait to hang out there again.
absolute paradise, 3 floor coworking space, with unlimited drinks and snacks, i bet there tea flavors haven't been entirely tasted yet, the snacks are brilliant with pancakes and crep i simply love it
Great to be here and I just love my vacation with you guys. Really what to say, no words to express. Just great.
A perfect place to study/work and feel the community!
Perfect place to work and hang out with friends.
Great place! Comfy, clean, friendly service, nice snacks and cool interior decoration. I recommend this for everybody seeking a place for working and reading!Just a few minor improvement tips on my side (to the owners if they read it haha):-there is no trash can in the room with the note-sheet/portrait artwork wall-there could be some more tissue boxes lying around in the areas, in case someone spills something, or just for cleaning the nose/wiping stuff.Otherwise, I really like it. :)
This is what we must have at every corners of the world
Very nice place, I love it
Chip but there's nothing to eat
Surely will return... Must visit place in Montreal
Cool place to hang out! Could maybe upgrade what is available to make sandwiches.
Beautiful anticafe that I ended up discovering while looking for an affordable place to work for a few hours. Two floors of seating with some neat hidden corners. There are also several rooms that can be booked for group work or small events. The decor is stunning and quite conducive for work and of course, there is a large selection of snacks, coffee, and tea. Certainly a place to consider!
It's a weekly thing for our group to come here and work. It's a pleasant experience, and the whole place is curated to facilitate focussed work and interactions. The coffee is great! Would strongly recommend it.
Best working space and also best coffees in Montreal! I'm very picky for coffee and believe it or not, this place is great!
A cool place to work or read a book and drink a good coffee cup with some snacks. It's really cheap and if it was near my home i would visit here everyday
The perfect place to do homework or meeting with a friend just to talk
Nice atmosphere. Good place for hanging out with friends
I've been by before and it always seemed like it was closed or maybe even out of business; I guess it's because you can't see through the wooden door leading up the staircase and you can't tell if there's people upstairs or not. It's also surprising that something so good could exist in the rotten heart of an overdeveloped-gentrified area like Place Des Arts. I'm glad I took the chance and pushed my way through the door. The place was vibrant and fun and even really cozy. I have to go back more often.
This place is freaking AMAZING!!! My favourite cafe ever. Super unique system in which they charge for your time, not your consumption. So, you have unlimited access to coffee, tea, snacks, etc. And it’s all amazing! The staff can make you lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, you name it. Snacks include pretzels, carrots, hummus, chips, popcorn, yogurt, cookies, crackers, make your own sandwich, and more. The atmosphere is so homey and amazing too, best place to study ever. I’d recommend to anyone!
Nice café.Quiet place to read a book
Holishiiii this place is cozy and phenominal awesome in many aspects
Cozy.Cheap.Can spend an entire day here.
It is adorable, clean and light. The staff is very polite, friendly, and professional. I think it's the best place to work, study or spend some time in a nice and warm atmosphere like home.Highly recommended.
Energic ambiance downstairs and calm setting upstairs, I love doing homework here.
Great place for best vibes. Studying is perfect, in groups or alone! Good coffee/large choice of tea. The staff was amazing. Love you guys and see you soon!
A superb experience in a very cozy place.
Very good and practical for a full day of productive study
The place where it all begins ! Place des arts :-)
Amazing place! It's super cozy and really pleasant. The staff is friendly and ready to help if you need it. They have relatively good Internet/wifi.The snacks are pretty good, and they have some "crudités" as well.I went there to study with a friend and we were not disappointed.Ps: if you need a quieter environment to work/study, they have a second floor where there is no music and there are also a couple of rooms you can use. I recommend trying it out!
Staff can be a bit sullen at times. Difficult to find somewhere to sit and discuss. Great concept; communal kitchen, snacks, hot beverages all for a flat hourly or daily rate. However, it is better suited to people who want to work alone and not on group projects.
Perfect place. Conveniently located. Plenty of comfortable seating. Fast enough WiFi.
I go to anticafé very often! The service is great, unlimited coffee, tea and food for the day with a reasonable price, good ambiance to work, and good location. However, last Monday I was a bit disappointed! There was no bread and cheese to make a grilled cheese, there was no chocolate spread for the toast, and not enough crepe dough. We talked to the person in charge of that day and the “excuse” was that they haven’t done groceries yet, that they would do it on Tuesday. We are clients and paying by hour/day, so we should not be concerned about the day that they do groceries. Finally, we saw a mouse in the second floor close to the studying tables.
Love this place
First time in an Anticafe. I loved it! You have different room. So depending of your mood you can choose where to sit. It's cozy and friendly. Will return for sure. Walking distance from the Metro
Divine place, super chill.
Best place in Montreal! It’s my little cozy tavern of comfort in the city
Great spot to work and relax. You're paying by hours you spent there and unlimited snacks and coffee's included.
Nice place, you get charged per an hour, 13$ per day, lots of different snacks , variety of teas, coffee. Unfortunately, there are no low-carb snacks. Additionally, it was quite cold the day I was there and washroom was not that clean.
Great working space. Decent selection of food.
Great for group gatherings. Although sometimes it can be too crowded if you're looking for some quiet time.
I'm a big fan of this place! The people in the front are always nice. There's always room to sit to do whichever activity you want to do. I actually really enjoy to just hang out with friends downtown without drinking or loud music. I also really like that you can bring your own food. The lack of expectation to buy something is very calming.
This is the perfect place for students. If you need to spend more than 4 hours doing work and you can't stand the thought of going to a library, this is the place fro you. Snacks and coffee are provided unlimited, and you pay for the time that you spend there. Its a very cosy atmosphere with vintage pieces ornamenting the area and creative-types working at the tables. It feels almost like a community for the time that you're there.
Nice ..not bad
great place to work!
